Life cycle assessments (LCA) in the construction industry are used to determine and present the environmental impact of construction activities. The quality of building LCA depends on the quantification of building materials and processes and the selection of LCA data. This document serves to create transparency with regard to the selection of data and the LCA methods used. Users of SURAP are thus supported in better understanding the background of the SURAP database and in using the software effectively.
